If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out our adoption application form.  We want to make sure our puppies go to good loving homes with people who are responsible and able to properly care for a dog. We also like to get to know families better and are happy to continue to stay in touch once puppies have gone home. We provide life time breeder support and are always here for families if they have questions. Once you have been approved we then add you to our waiting list and will update you by email once the dam has had her pups. Please keep in mind that sometimes dam's do not become pregnant or we have chosen to wait and not breed depending on how our momma's health is so you could be waiting longer for a puppy then you originally planned. In this case we will update our website and social media accounts. So if you want to stay up to date please check back on here, Facebook or Instagram @prairiewillowdogs.

 

 We sell our pups with a non breeding contract. We are open to offering breeding rights to qualifying breeders for an additional fee. We occasionally register a litter with the CKC but only upon special request and in that case you will be waiting for a specific litter. There is an additional fee of $150 if you would like your dog registered.

Reservation fee's are required to adopt a puppy. This fee is good for up to 2 years from the date it was received and can be used toward any of our litters within that time range. All reservation fee's are non-refundable. The total; reservation fee is $500. Once your application has been submitted and approved we require $250 to put your name on the waiting list.  The remaining $250 is accepted once the puppy has been born and you have been contacted. The 2nd fee holds a puppy for you from a specific litter. Once we have contacted the families on the waiting list they have 24 hours to get in touch and let us know if they are interested and 36 hours to pay the 2nd fee before we move onto the next family on the waiting list. Reservation fee's are made by e transfer to prairiewillowdogs@gmail.com. The remaining balance is due upon pick up by cash or by e transfer. GST will be added to the final payment. 

 

We will deliver pups all over Canada for a flat rate fee of $1500. For delivery that is under a 2 hours drive from our home the flat rate fee is $200. Calgary, Calgary airport, Red Deer etc. Pick up at our home is free.

We will do our best to work with you to give you a puppy that fits with you're family. All our pups are evaluated using the "BAB way" at 52 days old. Puppies can be chosen once their evaluations have been completed and they have been checked over by a vet. Visit the "waiting list" page to learn more about how puppy selection works. 

 

All puppies come home with a vet check up, their first set of shots, dewormed 2-3 times and a puppy kit. The puppy kit includes a bag of food, antler chew, custom handmade collar made by Wyldkind Outfitters, Backwoods Dog or Knotty Pets, a toy or puzzle dish & a handmade blanket that has been with the mom so they have her scent to help settle into their new home. We also start the process of spot potty training the pups as well as crate training to make it that much easier for families and puppy and send you home with instructions to help you continue the training. We do spend a great deal of time loving, and caring for each puppy. We also weigh each puppy daily for the first 4 weeks to make sure they are growing and getting enough nutrition. They have their first bath with us and several nail trims. We stimulate the puppies through touch, sounds, smells and letting them experience new places.

 

We feed our dogs and puppies quality food which is key to raising a healthy dog. Our dogs eat a variety of different foods including raw meat like beef, wild meat, raw bones, hemp seed, fresh fruit, veggies, cooked oatmeal and rice.  Each puppy comes with a 1 year health guarantee against any genetic health conditions. Prairie Willow Dogs will not be liable for any vet costs once the puppy has gone to their new family. If a genetic disorder is found the puppy must be inspected by a veterinarian of Prairie Willow Dogs choosing and must receive a written letter signed by that vet. The puppy must have all it's vaccinations, deworming and regular vet checks up to date and have shown no signs of neglect or mistreatment. The puppy must then be returned to Prairie Willow Dogs and we will give a refund minus the reservation fee or a new puppy will be given. There will be a contract to sign before taking your puppy home for this health guarantee.

If there is ever a time when a family can no longer care for their Prairie Willow pup for whatever reason, the pup must be returned to Prairie Willow Dogs. We stand by our pups and never want top see them end up in a shelter.

Puppies are ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. We have set days for pick ups but we can be flexible if needed. At 7 weeks old we have puppy visiting days. This is when the family can come out to the farm and meet us, the dogs and the puppies. Puppies are chosen once puppy evaluations have been completed at 52 days old. 

 

We will do our best to communicate with you and send videos and pictures of your puppy until it is able to come home with you. Once a family has made the 2nd  reservation fee we add them to a group WhatsApp chat with all the other families adopting a puppy from that litter. This is a fun way for us to communicate with you and all the other families at the same time. It also lets families communicate with each other. You can share photo's, videos, training tips, plan puppy dates etc.
